Best Device to Stream XBMC
Discussion
Afternoon All!
Looking for suggestions on the best device (From experience) to stream XBMC.
I have been using XBMC/Kodi for a couple years now through Rasp Pi's but im finding its getting slower and slower going through the menu's and also opening sources. The 2 "Apps" i use the most are "1Channel" & "Genesis"
What im looking for is ideas of what others are using to run Kodi, and any recommendations.
Also worth mentioning, im running a VPN through a second router, fibre connection so download/upload speeds arnt an issue, nor is geographical ISP issues. 1 Pi is hardwired into the Router, the other is Ethernet over mains.
Over to you!

I've personally bought 3 of these -

I run 2 of them and set another up for a family member.
no issues whatsoever.

My search lastnight after work brought me to look into these! No issues with loading speed of menu's? do you have them hard wired or over Wifi? http://www.retailgadgets.co.uk/Minix-Neo-X8-H-Andr...

No noticeable difference in performance between the 2!

My Pi2 hasn't been totally reliable.
I hear good things about Fire TV.
As an aside, I'm in genuine mourning that Genesis isn't what it once was.
Yeah im using it less and less these days, Finding 1 channel to be my "go too" app just now. I hear good things about Fire TV.

Going by the replies here i might invest in the latest Pi and see how it compares!

Pi 2 running kodi.. perfect and connects up just fine to av amp and passes through DTS etc. perfect quality on 1080p and no lag on movies or menus. Can also use HDMI CEC so most TV remotes can control it.
This. I upgraded from a Pi model B and the difference in performance was night and day. You don't need anything else.cupraajy said:
