ebay speaker docks and chromecast - where's that thread/pos?

I'm sure I remember someone on here mentioning that they were pairing a chromecast with SH speaker docks (bose??) from ebay and it was a really cost effective solution - faulty/older? My usual evernote clipping has failed to deliver, so

There was quite a lot of Chromecast Audio chat on this thread, despite it originally being about Denon HEOS:

I have got five of these set up now in various systems and I can confirm they are excellent, and very cost effective compared to the competition. You can use them with any speaker or dock that has got a 3.5mm analogue input or optical digital.

It is not quite such a seamless experience as Sonos, but it is not far off once you get it up and running. I use Plex and Spotify.
