I'm in the process of moving to BT from Sky.

My plan was to watch NowTV via the app on the YouView box, but it turns out that I cant watch live TV via this method - only movies.

I don't have the NowTV app on my TV.

Is my only option to buy a NowTV box and plug this into my TV and switch to this input source when wanting to watch NowTV channels (eg. Sky Atlantic)?

Had the same dilemma. We use the NowTV app on an iThing and cast to a Chromecast plugged into TV's HDMI port.

How are you finding that Steve? Is it a better option than using a NowTV box?

I haven't bothered with the NowTV box. To me, the Chromecast route looks more flexible - most of the main streaming services support it. Also, I didn't want to find shelf space for another box. The Chromecast is hidden behind the TV and is powered from one of its USB ports.

So far it's worked well; easy enough to use and no drop outs. If you try it, make sure you have decent WiFi where the TV is.

It may not be the *best* solution but it works for me.

Thanks for the info! I've purchased a chromecast today and will try it out tomorrow.
