VHS video tapes

Aged uncle died last year and aunt has found some old video tapes he's on that she'd like to play for old times sake, but doesn't have a video player any more. I suggested that I'd get them put on to DVD but she's unwilling to let them out of her possession. First off she said they were "too precious" then later let it slip that maybe there's some scenes that she wouldn't want anyone to see. So I guess the naughty old couple may have been filming some "private" stuff a few yaears ago. They both variously mentioned over the years some of the wild parties they went to years ago with some famous names dropped in the conversation too. My uncle was well connected socially having moved in some impressive circles back in the day.

So, back to the plot. She's asked me to get her a VHS viceo player. I've tried Ebay, Preloved and the British Heart Foundation (the only charity that takes electrical goods), all to no avail.

So can any of you PH'ers help? Anyone got an old serviceable one (with remote) stuck out in the garage that I could relieve you of?
