Morning,
Engineer is booked - but 10 days away.
Brand new HD+ box - non HD tv, I know I am out of date....
Everything works bar Sky movies (I subscribe and card has been synced), I did have an issue with Babestation but I have fixed that now.
I get the message on Sky Movies - No signal is being received.
Looking at the signal
Input one is good strength and quality and is locked.
Input two seems to vary between something and nothing, locked / not locked.
The recording feature works, and you can watch a different channel at the same time so the two inputs must be working ??
I have checked both connections at the box and the dish and both are ok, and free of dirt.
We do have a large weeping willow, that has caused issues in the past, but surely this would block both signals not just Input 2 ?
I did think to run another cable from the dish to the box incase it has been chewed by mice, or cut the tree down ?
Thanks

swap the satellite leads over at the box end?
has the fault moved to the other signal meter?
if you have access to the dish try one of the other lnb outputs they are all the same.
sometimes if your dish is out of alignment it will catch some frequencies of signals but not all, so some channels will work others will not.
my guess would be
either
lnb on dish is faulty
dish out of alignment
or power supply in receiver is dying. (this is well documented esp if you have a box made by Thomson)
trees do cause issues, as we dont notice them growing we are unaware of them degrading the signal.
