We need to replace our television and would like a 50 or 55 inch, no intention of paying a shed load for the amount of time we spend watching. Set a budget of 1K hoping to buy something reasonable, the big thing we do watch is MOTO GP so tracking speed without blur is important for us.
As always your comments and advise gratefully received.

How's about a previous model LG Oled?

Everyone's jumped on the 4K bandwagon so the earlier 1080P sets are a bargain for the picture quality on offer.

A little above budget but would be my choice over any LED lit LCD:

Thanks chaps, very helpful. Think I will go for monty's recommendation if only because it's a fair bit less outlay and still offers what I am after. Also it saves me having to answer my wife's questions regarding a 'curved screen'. to which I have no knowledge. smile

Ah, forgot about the earlier models being curved!
