I've mounted my TV above a radiator with large windows either side so there is no where to mount a PVR except on a shelf below the TV or on the kitchen worktop frown

A quick google suggests an RF remote might be the answer meaning I can place the PVR in a kitchen cupboard ?

I'm about to upgrade the TV (42" around £400) and the PVR (Humax around £175) so should I stick with a RF remote or is there a better solution ?

I am about to do something similar.

Planning on using a run of Cat6 with a Neet HDMI adapter at each end - these are also capable of sending the RF signal so should work!

A pro will be along shortly but I've used IR repeaters successfully in the past with a logitec Harmony. IR receiver attached to the tv and then through the wall (via a network cable as I recall) to a transmitter hiding in a cupboard. I had a few other bits in there as well so single remote.

Now I'm using a different Harmony that connects to the hub via bluetooth. TV is controlled via a ir transmitter from the hub out.

I have a Logitech 900 in my lounge. It controls my TV and everything else that is hidden away. It works flawlessly.

I have a Logitech ultimate in my cinema room. That's the one with a Bluetooth hub. All the boxes are in an AV room. It also works perfectly.

I do prefer the 900 purely for economic reasons but Logitech have updated again since the ultimate. I've been using Logitech products for years and their service is great.
