Morning folks
Im looking for some advice if possible please. We have an LG smart TV model No 40LF630V and connected to the NOW TV app through the TV. The TV is connected to the router via wifi and is about 10 or 12 feet from it. The router is a BT home hub5 with connection speeds of min 40mbps. We also use Netflix, Youtube and BBC iplayer all through the TV apps and all work fine without buffering. The first time we used NOW TV all was good even with our daughter watching something on NOW TV on her ipad at the same time upstairs. However last night it was buffering and twice stopped completely showing error 02. Is this simply down to us connecting through wifi even though everything else works fine ?

I gave up on wifi and connectd my LG with a Cat5. The NowTV app is really unreliable on my LG. It doesn't buffer, but you usually have to turn off the tv to reset the app after you've watched something, because it won't go back to the main menu to allow you to select another programe.
So I can't offer any experience on the buffering thing, it might be down to wifi. You could try running a Cat5, but don't expect perfect results even then.

Cheers buddy I guess I knew the answer would be down to wifi. I was trying to avoid having to run an ethernet cable to the router as it will mean I have to try and conceal it. Thinking about it I guess I could move the router from the hall to the living room as the telephone socket is right behind the TV. Our bedroom is directly above so hopefully the wifi signal will still be as strong upstairs as it is currently.

So to conclude I have moved the router to the living room behind the TV and run an ethernet to the TV. I was concerned about interference or blockage of the signal but the TV is on a pedestal stand so a lot of space around it if you know what I mean. I also tested the speeds which still seem good upstairs in our bedroom but my daughters room at the other end of the house tested at 12.83mbps which is still good enough (I think) for movies etc.
Will see what effect it has on NOWTV
