So we've just bought ourselves a new house & need to buy some new gadgets to fill it. I'm after a new TV, no bigger than 55" and will be used mostly to watch Sports, Films and to play video games (mainly fifa/battlefield) on. Any suggestions? Also want a wireless surround sound system that won't break the bank but that has very good sound quality.

Can anyone help? Budget up to £2k for the lot!

Sonos, playbar, sub, two play ones, flexon stands for play1's.

Samsung or LG 55" 4K TV that's should all be doable for under £2k

What's more important to you... Picture quality or sound quality?

The Sonus route blows c.£1.3k of your £2k... they sound decent enough, but your paying a massive premium for the Sonus name... a separates system at half the price will sound better.

Personally, I'd be getting a 55" OLED (LG B6 for around £1,700) - the picture quality is just spectacular, and well ahead of anything available at a lower price.

Then either get a cheap soundbar, or spend a bit more and get a better sound bar, or a system with wireless rear speakers (a few manufacturers make them).

Agree.

If you already have a separates Hi-Fi, you can make it become a modern Wi-Fi sound system, for £20 to £30. Logitech Bluetooth Audio Adapter.
You can then control your sound from a smart phone, tablet etc.

Agree with all that.

With the further comment that Google Chromecasts are better than the Logitechs (I use both).

And why go for wireless speakers? If you have skirting boards or carpets it's easy enough to run cables behind/under them.
