To my annoyance it turns out my new telly only has 3 HDMI in ports. (my last, less capable one had 4 :Irkedsmile and i have no space for my Amazon Firestick.

Crerntly i have:

HDMI 1 (ARC): Sound Bar
HDMI 2: Sky Q for 4K
HDMI 3: PS4

Can i plug a splitter into HDMI 3? If so as i can't control the power on the firestick can i use both PS4 and Firestick as i want? I think i might need a switchable one such as this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Portta-Switcher-Support-P...

They are bulky though and i have no visible cables where my telly is mounted.

Thoughts?

Yes, you just need an HDMI SWITCHER, like the one you linked to. Not a splitter.

Some of them 'auto switch' so when you power up a device from standby, it automatically switches to that device.

Why not connect the soundbar via Digital Optical, freeing up your HDMI?

Never thought of that. Currently i've got the optical from my telly to the sound bar AND HDMI because i thought if i'm using Netflix etc. this is the route it takes. But thinking about it it is just for sound. Will give that a go.

I had precisely this problem a couple of years ago and bought one of these:

Neet HDMI Switch

It works perfectly
