Just putting together my home cinema in the new extension.

I need a Blu ray player to couple with my ONKYO
TXNR555.

It's a 7:2 system with B&W M1's and 2 Roth oki subs- what's the best to deliver on sound going through the ONKYO?

It isn't, I have one. No end of problems with it.. sound drop outs, picture freezing, tray door staying stuck open.

I have this, I bought it when they first came out. I have had no problems at all with it and am very happy with its performance and features. (It is hooked up to the internet). I use it for BR, 4k BR, DVD's and CD's. Picture quality is fantastic, but it is hooked up to an LG OLED.

My Samsung 4k player won't play 3D discs, just in case you were considering that.

Have you applied the new firmware update yet?

I was talking to them on Friday and the update is available on thier web site.

I have a different issue in trying to control an anamorphic lens, 103 worked perfectly, options not appearing on the 203.

Yes applied the latest firmware. I used the beta version then the official one. It still has problems.

Are you talking direct to Oppo UK or having to go through a dealer?

I have a direct in at the moment.

Its a shame because the 103 / 105's were a stonking machine.

I haven't contacted oppo. There seems to be a fair amount of people on AVForums having the same problems. I will just keep waiting for updates to hopefully sort it out.

Hmm. Mine brings up the screen saying that you need a 3D player to playback this disc....someone else impied theirs played 3D discs...will look into it. Maybe a setting somewhere is stopping it.

I assume you have a 3D option in the menu?

I've run the Oppo 203 for a few months. Will try my first 3d disc this weekend. Bought Dr Strange. Watched both blu rays and 4k uhd so far without any problems. What's wrong with the 3d?

I did wait until the new year before I bought the Oppo and have (thankfully) yet to experience any of the problems others have experienced. I particularly like how the picture can be further fine tuned separate to the display.
