Was looking for a tube amp for use at home.

Wanted great tone at lower levels, have had this 3 weeks now and it fits the bill perfectly.

Fender Princeton Chorus

The Fender is used with my Ibanez SA series, as the "spanky" pickups of the SA perfectly suit the lovely clean tones of the Princeton (this combo, for example, does a great sound for "Shakin' All Over"). The Vox is used with a PRS Santana for those big, fat, distorted blues / classic rock stuff.

What's the clean sound from the Marshall like? I've never found one I liked.

Might be worth experimenting with which way you hold the phone when taking the picture. Failing that MS Paint and pretty much every other image processing software can rotate pictures. Or sign up for a Flickr account, you can rotate and edit uploads in that, then paste the link they provide here. Flickr pics look better than Thumbsnap on PH as well.

Just double-click on the filename in Windows Explorer to open Windows Photo Viewer - this can rotate pictures.

Although come to think of it I've not played it for 9 years - it's been on loan to a mate who has gigged it all around Europe, anything from nightclubs to arenas. It's quite literally all the amp you could ever need.

When I started learning guitar back in the late 80's, this was my step-brother's bass amp which was fked. I got it for free, got it fixed by a bloke in Swansea and served me well in the following years cutting my teeth learning to play.

Fender Twin My main gigging amp..early 90's in think.

Love it. Loud smooth and effffing heavy

I've a couple of solid state fenders too for home use and a reserve to take to gigs. A Marshall 50w acoustic combo and a peavy bandit 1x12

DSL15H. Yes, it's small, but it's light and loud enough for most places in Edinburgh.

My recording amp



Early 80s JCM800. Modified with an FX loop and an additional valve in the pre-amp (all done before I bought it) Too loud for most applications, but sounds amazing when you get a chance to crank it. Makes the cutlery in my kitchen drawer rattle at a half (i.e., when it's at 0.5, NOT 5).
