Hi All,

I need a few of these and I guess it is best to go with the HDbaseT equipment?

Where is the best/cheapest place to source these, ebay prices are around £120 for one complete kit.

Depends what resolution you want to transmit and how far you want to transmit it.

Personally stick to known brands, others (not a statement of fact) may be a-n-other cheap system and sticking the HDBT branding on it.

Wyrestorm
CYP
BlueStream
Leaf
HDA / HD Anywhere
Triax
Labgear
Pulse-Eight

I have had experience of.

Keene
Neet

Two others I know of, pleanty of others too.

Thanks Vex.

I want to do it right once, so will try for the 4k ones.

Is there a good place to purchase these from ?

I just purchased and installed the Neet ones. I am sending UHD no problem over Cat6 for SkyQ.

Very happy!

The current crop of HDBaseT extenders are limited to 2160p 8 bit. This is fine for Sky Q (currently), not so much for UHD BR.

Saying that, the next crop of HDBaseT extenders that support lossless compression which will give the full 18G bandwidth should be available later this year.

I bought the cheaper NEET ones (I actually had to return some more expensive ones that failed fairly soon after installation bought from a specialist). In a few years time I can replace them with full fat 4K versions, if I have a suitable display by then.
