I might as well put Cat7 cable in rather than 6 right? Although I will be using a maximum of 50m ??

Overkill but the extra shielding will help. CAT6 would be fine tbh. When I was in Japan 2 years ago there were posters up in shops pushing it as the next new thing you had to get.

I put it in as I'm using HDBT extenders and plan that I'll one day replace the boxes at each end for ones that are 18gbs capable and not have to replace the cable in between. They weren't massively expensive either from what I recall. Shame I'm only sending 1080p down them at the moment, but have test them at 4k30p without issues.
