Xbox One vs Xbox One S
Discussion
I am posting here as I think more relevant to this forum than computer games.
Knowing little about the latest consoles, I am considering getting the XBox 1S as the old 360 is redundant now. My understanding of the difference between the 1 and 1S is that the latter is smaller, a bit more powerful and offers 4K.
My question is this. I don't yet have 4k. For the time being I'm happy enough with my current TV but I bought a Blu Ray player last year which was 4K but it didn't work with my old 1080p LG TV (running through HK AVR370 amp) so I took it back and exchanged. Therefore, am I likely to have the same if I buy an Xbox 1S or should it work fine but better as and when I go 4K?
Cheers

When I purchased a 360 I didn't see myself ever having HDMI, but that changed a few years down the line and meant I needed an upgrade to get the 1080p graphics that my shiny new TV was now capable of, so as 4K TV's are already out my advice would be to go for the S.
There is a new Xbox One X about to be released imminently. Even if you don't get the X it may give you more options for the existing versions of the consoles.

Yes but I don't have a 4K TV yet and have no plans to get one for at least another year. There is a new Xbox One X about to be released imminently. Even if you don't get the X it may give you more options for the existing versions of the consoles.
