Looking to spend up to £1,600 all in and not sure what to get. I've seen these tvs and thought they were good with the X1 processor but that's not to say I am not open to other brands:

I will get a Playstation 4 at some point so that might be worth considering in terms of performance. I have Virgin and would stream 4k from Netflix etc.

No idea what soundbar to get either...

Many thanks for your help

Was in the market for a soundbar and plumped for this one. Happy so far.

I have the Q acoustics, it's great but the volume control is a little binary, and it doesn't do some flavour of decoding that means the Netflix app on my genuine panaphonics TV is silent (known issue, no fix).

Great tv, didn't think it would be in my budget but it's a Reboxed unit at that price: http://www.beyondtelevision.co.uk/Smart-TVs/LG-55-...

Is that a worry?

I'm mounting the tv about a fireplace and want to connect the soundbar rather than rest it on the chimneypiece - think the Canton is too thick for that

bit of a shame there is no HDMI for use with a 4k TV though

just take an optical feed from the tv, and plug all your HDMI's into that
