Looking at maybe using a matrix in my house, I have cat 5 cable between a patch panel and each tv but could upgrade to cat 6 quite easily if needed. I was looking at maybe a 3 or 4 in and 5 out. Last time I looked at these they were well into£1000+ for anything half decent, nowdays there is all sorts about for a couple of hundred but I assume they are junk.

A decent matrix is still going to be a grand plus.

To be honest I can see the market for them declining as more people switch to Fire TV, Chromecast, Apple TV, Sky Q etc. All of which are better suited, and cheaper than a matrix Flor just attach to the local TV.

Sources like blu-ray players and games consoles which are expensive to purchase and which you would possibly want to share around screens are a pita if they aren’t in the room where the TV is for loading disks and getting the game controllers to work, plus the Matrix will add a very small delay that isn’t an issue for watching but is for gaming.
