Pioneer SC-LX57 - 4k options?
Discussion
I've got a Pioneer LX57 which has given great service over the last few years but I'm thinking of updating the projector to 4k.
I understand that the LX57 will do 4k pass through but doesn't have HDCP 2.2.
I'm currently running 7.1 and a 1080p projector, are there any options to keep the LX57 and upgrade to 4k?
Thanks

Could you go source directly to the projector bypassing the receiver then sound back to the receiver from the PJ?
That being said if you're investing in a 4k projector you might as well buy a nice shiny new receiver to go with it
7.2.4 sir?

Last years model at half price but I'm struggling to find something it can't do.

I was looking a last years Pioneer models but that Denon looks pretty sweet for ONLY a few hundred more;)
During next years cinema room refurb I was planning on putting in 2/4 Atmos speakers so the Denon is almost the sensible choice

As an interim, if the feed the projector direct, I assume the sound is delivered to the amp optically? Are there any limitations? 5.1 / 7.1 / 7.2.4?
Cheers

Yup, there are eleven discreet channels to be had so might as well hear all of them

Free Dolby Vision firmware update now available too. Ticks every box.
