What's the cheapest 40" smart tv available. Best I've seen is a Digihome, at £299. Anyone improve on that.

Please, no posts telling me that I'd be better off splashing the extra £2500 for the latest Oled 16K curved screen with hologram technology. It's not for me, and it doesn't need to be cutting edge.

Same price, but my lad got one of these from Argos and it works really well... http://www.argos.co.uk/product/6317773

I'd throw another £100 at the problem and get a decent brand, 4k and a 6 year warranty.

Great find, that's the winning option so far.

If a longer guarantee is important, again, 6 years with this LG (1 year with the Hitachi).

It's not important at all in these circumstances. Cheapest required. Must be new, smart, and 40" min. That's it.

Use the code TVS10 at Argos and get it down to £270

Or this 4K 43 inch Hisense becomes £314

Good idea. Happy to go down Asda and punch some old biddy in the face to save another tenner.

It was working on all TVs the other day. Oh well...

Edit: Code TV10 still seems to work on sub £400 TVs
