Need some help please.

Under my TV I have a built in unit with a shelf depth of about 30cm. I'm looking for a unit can act as an amp to power additional speakers from my tv, ideally have a CD player built in and be able to stream via BT or USB.

I've seen a few Mini HiFis that have a depth of 30cm but would stick out too far when taking into account wires protruding at the back...any ideas?

Marantz MCR611 is 30cm and the wires only stick out another couple of cm. Dimensions for the Yamaha CRXN470D are wrong on Richer Sounds - it's actually 33cm deep.

If the back of your unit is MDF/wood/chipboard/etc. then could you cut a hole in it to allow more depth and wire routing?

Thanks, I've actually got my eye on that Marantz...space is at a premium and it may be a tight squeeze.

The cable that sticks out the most is the power cable, and that could easily be lessened by using a right angle power cable instead of the straight one supplied.

No CD, and I can't personally vouch for the quality - although they are well reviewed.

Yeah thanks, I ordered one yesterday as I picked up on this being an issue.

I think Ill take a look at the Marantz or a Pioneer VSX531 AV Receiver.
