What’s the best soundbar for under £200?
It will be for a Samsung MU7000 (if it makes any difference? I know absolutely nothing about TVs/soundbars)

I don’t want insane cinema audio just an clear/good enhancement in volume and sound

Thanks smile

If you can stretch it another £100 and you have Sky. These are supposed to be very good.

I have been looking at soundbars and it's a bit of a nightmare.
One thing that seems key is having an HDMI connector because that apparently means that using the TV remote will also turn the volume down on the sound bar. Otherwise the optical link is the next best.
Size has also been an issue.
If width is not an issue then this seems a good buy - the Roth Subzero 3 can be had for £99 at richer Sounds.
Under £200, the Panasonic bars seem to be well-rated at £149 and also has HDMI - assuming your TV has such connection.

It may be 'bargain basement', but could I just say that I'm delighted with my Goodman's Soundbase which was about £80. Far better than the £200 Samsung soundbar which it replaced!

We have just bought a Yamaha yas107. Seems very good for what it is. Was £169 in the Curry’ Sale.

Has no subwoofer as that was she who must be obeyed requirements.

Based on reviews, I bought a Kitsound Ovation - we'll see what it's like when it arrives. HDMI connection as my mother's TV has HDMI but no optical.
