QAcoustics 3020
Discussion
Any experience of these? Excellent reviews and keenly priced. Existing system is Denon M37 receiver, Pro-ject Essential III turntable and (here's the bad news) Bose Acoustimass 5 passive sub & cubes.
I have held off doing anything about it for a while due to tiny fingers already having made a bit of a mess of my TDL Near Field Monitors (1994 vintage) but am quite enjoying some vinyl at the moment so figure a small investment might be in order.
Any other recommendations gratefully received, I will go listen to a few at Richer.

These guys are aways good for a deal. It's a proper hi-fi shop so you can have a listen.

Not yet, looking at the matching stands at the same price as the speakers. Currently sat on a sturdy side unit. Not the best solution but to my humble ears it sounds nice. BTW supplied foam inserts fitted to rear facing ports.
Yes it seems slightly strange that stands cost as much as the speakers, considering they are surely cheaper to manufacture. Anyway, will look at it as speakers + stands + cables total cost. I heard a few pairs of the latest Q Acoustics speakers recently, floor and stand mount, at a 'proper' hifi shop. Blimey, very very good, and punch well above their weight. Even the shop owner said they've no right to sound so good for the price, especially their top of the range model.
Some interesting construction techniques too.

We have the Q7000i with Denon AVR 2300W as an "entry" package and it's really good; I have no experience of other systems really though
I've been replacing my ageing surround sound system in my PS4 games/junk room with the Q 7000 series speakers first with the centre speaker now with the 7000lri's they sound superb. Eventually I'll have the full 7.1 Dolby Atmos surround sound with these fantastic speakers, the What Hi-fi review rated them very highly too.I managed to get a pair of 3010 for £60 off Ebay for use on a shelf in the kitchen. Really good for the price and whilst they don't ultimately have the bass extension of some of the other speakers I own, they sound bigger than they look!
I'd be interested to try some of their larger speakers in my lounge.

3050 Floorstanders sound great and are cracking value for money when you consider you don't need to fork out for speaker stands.Going to audition 3020, Cambridge SX-60, Mordaunt Short M20 and anything else they suggest.
I tried a variety of £150 - £200 bookshlf speakers a few months ago including some QA (can't recall which model) and whilst i thought they were good, as were the Monitor Audio equivalents, the Dali Zensor 1's I tried were my preference so might be worth listening to some of those too.
i found the Dalis just that bit clearer and sweeter sounding with my T-class amp.
