Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin
Discussion
Does anyone have any experience of these? I'm a huge fan of B&W loudspeakers but haven't heard one of these. I'm in a need a decent sounding portable system for a small-ish room, while my main system is packed up. I was thinking ultimately of replacing my original series CDM1s but that will have to wait until I get settled house-wise, hence the fact the system is boxed and the need for something small and quality. Cheers!
I've got a HEOS 1 (works with my denon AV receiver so I can listen to turntable in the kitchen) and it's great, two of them together would be even better but they also make these bigger and better HEOS 5s

Nearly £200 less than the B&W and I'd be amazed if you could hear the difference and has more connectivity options than the B&W

I have the Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air version. I have a proper Hi-Fi setup in the main family area but bought this to go in the lounge. It's a smaller room and it fills it nicely. Lots of punch and volume.
The sound quality is excellent but it's very sensitive to source quality. Some tracks blow me away but lesser quality recordings imperfections really get amplified and become irritating to listen to. It's not very forgiving. For the money, it's a great setup. It's not as good as a MuSo but they are about £1000 now so twice the price although it does sound better than the Muso QB which is more of a competitor to the B&W. See if you can get a demo before buying. I went to either Fenwicks or John Lewis in Newcastle (can't remember which now) but they had a demo room and set it up for me. I wanted the Muso but didn't have the budget at the time, wasn't impressed with the qb and was more than happy with the B&W for the budget I had.

Demoing any of these speakers in a shop will often give poor results.
I too was a little disappointed with the qb but I bought one anyway and after sorting out its final position etc, it really did sound much much bigger than its size would have you believe.
Having said that, one of kids has the b and w and it doesn’t sound too bad either!
