Is it worth upgrading my soundbar?
Discussion
Yep you probably wont notice much of an improvement but mainly because its a sound bar rather than because of the source. The sound source for your humax is digital so it will work or not.
The sound bar however is limited by the size and quality of the drivers and at the end of the day its all coming from a small source right in front of you

Sorry, but if you want this sound you need to buy this equipment. Soundbars compaired to a full speaker system will always sound tiny, give the size of the speakers in the sound bar and the size of the cabinet they are running in.
Also, try out others before you jump to BOSE, personally it is a lot of style over substance, Somewhere like Richer Sounds should be able to help out.
V.
I'd just get a proper 5.1 system instead of Bose stuff
This isn't too expensive for a starter system - https://www.richersounds.com/onkyo-dolby-atmos-5-1...
Just add an AV Amp and you're sorted.
Richer sounds probably have some ready made packages for a decent price.
( buying 2nd hand would be even more bargaintastic)

Yep sorry if I wasn't clear.
The digital sound delivered across the airwaves is decent quality whether it's satellite or aerial and can't be improved on with clever cables or snake pil etc. But a decent hifi or 5.1 AV can make the best of what's there.
I have a 5.1 in one room and a standard 2 channel stereo (albeit with tramsmission line speakers) in another and to be honest I've never watched tv or a film and thought there was anything wrong with the sound on either (and I like loud films with lots of explosions).
Any quality problems with your sound will be down to using a soundbar generally and while you can get clever tricks from the likes of bose it will never match even a moderately budgeted 5.1 for filling the room

Yes, their website is crap. Are they a proper old school Hi-fi shop. Yes.
And their customer service is very good.I have bought 2 systems off then over the years and been very happy with both and they have resolved any problems quickly.
It does look like the website hasn't changed since, but it serves a purpose.
I had one of these demo'd at Richer Sounds.
Looks neat, sounds superb.

God I'm having this problem at the moment (speccing everything up for a redevelopment).
t dotted around the living room.I've managed to get agreement for a full 5.1 set up in the main TV room and a 2.1 system in the secondary one.
But am now trying to get agreement for a 2.1 music-only system for the open plan kitchen/dining area. I already have the speakers and a spare amp which will do for now but I know that the sub will be an issue (for SWMBO'd).
I've found a massively discounted wall-mounted one but she refused to discuss it.
I know what's going to happen in 6 month's time...."Why didn't you get that neat-looking wall-mounted one...?"
Always the same story.....
