Small powered speakers for DJ setup

Looking for a pair of compact, amplified speakers for a bedroom DJ setup. Currently using a 2.1 PC speaker system which doesn't sound great and the sub takes up too much room. Input will be from the dual phono outs from the mixer. Mega volume output isn't important really as it's just for playing at home, just something that sounds reasonable and is fairly compact, anyone able to recommend anything?

Have a pair of Audioengine speakers in the kitchen for iPod music etc. They are good but possibly not enough bass for you. Check hem out on Amazon.

You want some active monitors. JBL lsr305 or 308 have a fantastic reputation and are pretty cheap
