Sound bar connections
Discussion
Thinking of getting a soundbar (probably a yamaha) to replace an av receiver and b&w speakers. Currently i have two consoles, a blu ray player and sky hd box all connected to the reciever via hdmi, and then the receiver in turn connected to the tv again via hdmi. Looking at the various soundbars available they all seem to have just the one hdmi connection, so how does everything connect together?
Arcam Solo soundbar has 4 hdmi inputs, coax and toslink digital inputs and Bluetooth.

Nothing wrong with the old system, well actually there is a fault with the amp which is only about 3 years old, but it still works. The reason for looking at soundbars is my boy is now on his feet and has knocked one of the speakers over twice in the last week. Just exploring options at the moment.
Thanks for the links, I'm mostly looking at yamaha soundbars as I'm contemplating the musiccast system for elsewhere in the house as an alternative to sonos.

In which case I would go with a Musiccast enabled Amp, your kid will eventually or probably has already realised its not a good idea to knock the speakers over.
A mate of mine just got this...

Despite being in the AV trade I can't get this cheaper from my suppliers.
