Old ‘blaster restoration
Discussion
Morning,
I have an old Hitachi 3D super woofer that i bought in 1986. Its in fairly rough shape although does still work and i would like to get it restored to the point that it looks good and the controls are smooth and fully working. Am not worried about the cassette decks being made good as only use it for radio and ipod connection.
It has sentimental value to me and im not looking to sell it on. I dont have the skills or patience to attempt it myself and wondered if anyone knew of anyone/company that does this? I cant find anything online other than electronics repairers.
Cheers

You say you don't have the skills but I suspect all that's required is to unscrew the casing before liberal use of an air duster and contact cleaner to get the switches and slides moving smoothly again.
Externally nothing more complex than a toothbrush and warm soapy water will work wonders.
