Evening all,

When we switched to Virgin Media, I signed up for a package with two TiVo boxes, as it was actually cheaper than just getting one. The engineer was gobsmacked that we only have one TV in the house, so had absolutely no use for the second box!

Are we somehow abnormal? We've got three kids aged 10 - 15, plenty of phones and tablets and so on, but have never seen the need for TVs in bedrooms or anywhere other than the lounge.

How many TVs does everyone else have?

We have 3, lounge and each of the 2 bedrooms

There is a 4th glorified tablet screen built tiled into the bathroom but that doesn’t really count

4 bedroom house, 1 TV in the lounge.

When we moved in I wanted to get out of the habit of getting into the bed and switching the TV on so we haven’t put one in the room and we’ve designed the room so it’ll be hard to do so.

Made sure the 1 TV was a nice one and I have a full 7.1 loudspeaker set up albeit subtly.

Two bed cottage, we have two TV’s. Only one gets a reception. The one upstairs is a 10 year old “HD ready” 720p Toshiba that’s still going strong, and we have a 50 inch Toshiba HDTV in the lounge. That’s the one the games consoles are hooked up to.

Just 2 in my small little holding; a very basic (but very good) 40" non-smart LED panel in the bedroom, and a 4k set in the living area. I also have a projector but it's currently boxed up as I don't have a wall/space large enough for it. Ironically I watch very little live TV - just the F1 mostly and that is C4's offering so even less than usual. Gets used mainly for Netflix, Amazon, Youtube and MTOD.

Two TV'S in the small house I'm renting plus a third screen with a Chromecast in the back.

When I move back into my (much larger) house it'll be the same.

The kids watch stuff on phones and tablets a lot. The third screen hasn't been used in weeks. The main one is used more for gaming than anything else. The middle one gets used a few times a week.

I'll never get them in the bedrooms. Don't want one myself and don't want to encourage the kids.
