Hallway lights, multiple switches but no power

Hi,
I need some help with my home electrics.
In my Hallway, I have 3 lights, these are controlled by 3 switches. However they do not work.
As far as I can tell there are only 2 cables to each light. However irrespective of switches, there is never any power to them.
Can someone point me to a diagram of how this might be wired please?
btw, if it makes a difference, this isn't UK, but in spain, so I imagine there will be some common sense missing.
