Afternoon All
Just in the process of completing my cinema room set up.
I currently have the following: full Dali ikon 5.1 set up but with Ikon 5's as rears, Epsom 6600 projector, 120" fixed screen, the obigatory led accent lighting, black out blinds, and a mixture of 2% sheen grey and dark grey walls and ceiling.
What I'm short of is an Atmos amp to power the Dali's and a pair of Atoms suitable ceiling speakers(preferably a set that has closed backs or wouldn't be affected by having back shrouds fitted(bedroom above).
Budget I suppose is between £1000 and £1500, but I'm not adverse to second hand kit if I can get more bang for my buck.
Thanks in advance.

At that budget, new, we tend to use either Yamaha or Denon amps.
Speakers are harder ones, ideally they need matching to the 5.1 set you have to ensure tonal balance from the system. But backed requirement may limit you on that.
You could go with a standard in-ceiling, ideally with a directional tweeter to be able to point it at your seating area, and then use something like a 'Hoodie' which are fire and accoustic hoods, although not perfect.

Thanks for the reply VEX.
With regards the ceiling speakers they can be placed either directly above or forward of the seating area, is there an optimum position?
Also if I was to go for something backless/without additional fire shroud what do you think the sound leakage would be like? The ceiling is boarded with sound board rather than normal plaster board, once I have cut holes in it obviouly I want to try to cut down on as much leakage as possible.
Cheers

Yes as above really,
Out to the sides and slightly infront and if possible tweeters angled at you. I have a set of Invisa 7000's as my Atmos In-Ceilings, and because the whole speaker is set at about 60Deg from Horizontal, I have pushed them further forward of the seating position so the play just across our heads.
