Chaps, afternoon, could I ask some advice.

I have these...

A 150/122 and a mini Mac as well as speakers cables etc. How can I hook this up as cheaply as possible to run a music service such as Spotify ideally through an IPad interface?

Any advice greatly appreciated

Use an airport express.

Install itunes. And airport express utility.
Turn on home sharing.
Install spotify app.

Using dac inside airport -
Get a 3.5mm to rca adaptor.
Ebay item 372140316714.
Run rca cables from aiport to amp.

Using external dac (better sound) -
Use a mini toslink to toslink cable to connect airport to dac.
Connect dac to amp using rca cables.

In spotify, choose output to be your airport express.

Firstly, thanks for the detailed response, very much appreciated.

I do have an older model of the airport express knocking around so looks like I’m nearly there...I will try to hook it all up and report back...

Many thanks again!

Or for a bit more expense, consider a dragonfly DAC. I have a dragonfly black which retails around 90 quid and it is ace. I'd say it's one of the best investments I've ever made audio wise. Sound is so detailed and taut.

My gear isn't as high end as yours but might be worth seeing if you can borrow one to try.
