Moving away from Virgin.
Discussion
We are moving house in a few weeks, and Virgin don't offer services where we are moving to, so who should we be looking to get service with.
We have TV, internet, and phone with Virgin.
Need a standard phone line, no need for anything fancy.
Need fast net, kids always on tablets, Netflix, Youtube.
But TV is where I need the most advice.
TV, we watch mainly, Dave, Discovery, History, and those type of channels, Not too bothered about Sky Sports, but need Eurosport, and BT sports. No need of movie channels, or kids channels, as use Netflix, and Amazon.
We have a smart TV if it makes a difference.

Exactly the same situation here except later this week (if the rest of the chain can get their act together!).
Our big problem is that nobody has got on the new estate with fibre yet so the internet will be <5 meg!!!
Think it’s Sky for us then but don’t know what is best in terms of Sky packages but don’t want to be tied in case Virgin arrives in 6 months.
I’ll watch your thread with interest.

Is there decent fibre speed to your new house? If not, is it in an area where rural fibre broadband is being rolled out by the likes of Gigaclear? We moved a year ago and I took an ADSL package from John Lewis Broadband (just Plusnet rebranded, but it had the shortest tie-in I could find) knowing that as soon as Gigaclear had put the fibre in we'd switch to that. The ADSL was just about usable but frustrating after a 200mbps Virgin connection, so I was pleased we only had to put up with it for about 9-10 months.
