You've got £1500
Would you get a 55" OLED
or a 65" LED
and why?

or something else?

thanks

Really depends on where it is going. Both might be too small for the positioning, or equally too large. Provide more information and you might get more meaningful answers.

In my own living room I would opt for a 55” OLED over a 65” LED.

55" OLED - what you gain in PQ will easily make up for what you lose in screen size.

Since getting my 65" OLED TV, I haven't watched any movies on my 120" projector screen. I thought I still would but, I always want to watch them on the TV because the image quality and viewing experience is so much better.

I have on old projector.... was thinking I could use both for differing 'duties' smaller telly for day-to-day, projector for film night... but what you've said may well simplify the lounge thumbup

It'll be around £1500 if OP is prepared to wait a while. The previous gen 55B7 / 55C7 often was.

65 C8 is currently around £3000 with LG offering £500 cash back bringing it to £2500 which again was where the 65B7 / 65C7 often was.

If OP can up his budget the 65B7 makes a very compelling case at £2200

Superb deal. Improvements from B7 to C8 are incremental/negligible.

RSTV200 code will get you 65B7V for sub 2k if any help at all. I know it's budget creep but that's what I'd do my best to make work smile

I’m happy to be corrected to I think LG make all the OLED screens, other manufacturers purchase from them. In the world of OLED it is generally considered that LG are the top of the pile.

Panel and picture processing are identical. What do you do for sounds?

I went for LG E7. Stunning picture with pretty good sound.

I believe the LG 8 series is out or just coming out so bargains will soon to be had.

B7 is fine then. Picture quality was identical on all the 2017 LG OLEDs. Only differences being internal speakers and style differences.

no down side over processing power of each brand or the menus/ease of use stuff?

Is it all down to just picture quality?

Some brands run Android which doesn't get favourable reviews.

LG runs Web OS with the magic remote. I find it a great interface.

Your only real decision is 55B7 or 65B7. They won't get any cheaper than this and stock will be dwindling.

really? so come Jan Sales time they'll be gone and the newer models will be the ones being discounted, but probably not to the same 'low' level?
