Sky, Virgin or Stream via an ultra fast broad band provider
Discussion
hi
so just moved into a new house and we need to either pay £65 for sky £60 for virgin or just stream with an internet package ranging between £25 a month for 30mb £30 a month for 66mb or £42 a month for 360mb
really conscious we can do everything we need via streaming like Netflix amazon prime etc
what are your current setups or suggestions

I have Sky TV (everything), Prime and Netflix. Have to say most of what we want to watch these days is on Prime or Netflix. For the things we do watch on Sky, I think most would be available on Freeview. There doesn't seem to be that much on Sky I want to watch at the moment. Game of Thrones next year will change that as will the football season.
Virgin aside, It won’t technically be ‘ultrafast’ unless it’s a FTTP premises and if it is, you won’t be paying £20 for a broadband line, more like £50+ and the majority of broadband providers can’t offer FTTP services yet - hence the high prices.
Point being you may struggle if you have more than a single 4K stream on a non-Ultrafast line with any other nonintensove traffic on it.
