Hi all, looks to have been done a few times, but can't actually find any recommendations.

For the past few years all I have used on a flight is the HTC headphones I got with an old phone, so guessing pretty much anything I buy is likely to be better, right??

I'm now undecided on in ear or over ear as a replacement? I quite fancy the aspect of noise cancellation for a flight, but unsure if you can get this with both in/over ear?

Having a quick look at the in flight magazine this morning they had on offer, JBL C16 in ear for £25, and XQUISIT Bluetooth noise cancelling over the ear for £89. I have heard of JBL before, but unsure about XQUISIT. Advice on either or recommendations welcome, but the third a colleague suggested are the Sony MDRZX110.

i have lots of headphones from cheep to quite costly, however for a flight go for comfort. i recently picked up a set of 7dayshop noise cancelling over the head Bluetooth headphones and paid £36 from amazon, these are the same headphone as the Lindy bnx60 that get a 5 star review from what hifi (for what its worth) i have listened to both side by side and there is no difference that i could hear, yes there are not a patch on the bose or B&W NC headphones but there are a 10th of the price and very good value.

after the 'frivolous purchases' thread started to derail a bit with headphone chat, someone started a new thread.

there's been discussions over all ends of the price range.

You can do worse than a £20-30 pair of Sennheiser's if you want in ear, not looked into it much, but find them to be fine.

There is an argument for over ear headphones and for noise cancelling, but I've yet to try a pair I liked for a price I am prepared to pay!
