AKA "since when did TVs get so big???"

In need of a new 2nd / 'small' TV (sub-30", ideally +/- 24").

Current one - a touch-panel LG 22" - has been temperamental since we bought it - it doesn't often recognise the remote, and the touch-panel "on" button has been a will-it / won't-it nightmare since we bought it. Took it back to Richer Sounds twice, and twice they claimed not to be able to find the fault. LG "customer services" are also wholly disinterested despite it only being a few years old...

So now it's out of warranty, it doesn't respond to anything, and the local-ish TV repair place want £80 just to open it up and have a look...
(Irony of ironies, we'd just bought a Fire Stick to give us more viewing choices so we didn't have to keep re-programming the freeview channels)

Having a search around and anything <£200 gets slated for either picture, sound or both. And frankly there's not a lot in the 22/24" market anyway. Unless you want to buy an LG...

Suggestions welcome. Needs to perform well in low-light environments, no really worry about reflections. HD optional as long as picture quality is good.
