Bang & Olufsen Headphones
Discussion
So the misses is after a good set of headphones and she got her heart set on a set of H8's, we went into Curry's and had a look and a listen earlier but £300 imho is mental for a set of headphones. She'll use them as she uses her current cheapo ones all the time. She's found them cheaper on Ebay but I've warned her of buying them from there at half the price as it's likely they'll be fakes, is there anywhere else I should be looking or should she just cough up the £300 (which she's willing to) and buy from Curry's?
Can I be really PH, not answer any of your questions and recommend an alternative instead if she's prepared to spend £300?
I was treated to a pair of these for xmas. They don't come with the B&O cache, but they are really rather good.

I have a pair of H8’s in denim blue and I do like them. Before spending the cash though I went for a pair of Form2 and then Form2i to see if the quality really was there as these were both on super special offers in duty free.
I was shocked at the quality step up and went for the H8.
I have however swapped and now just use my AirPods as they’re so much more convenient all round ... just my 2cents

Never ever try to persuade a woman to buy a better product in a lowlier wrapper. They don’t care.I was treated to a pair of these for xmas. They don't come with the B&O cache, but they are really rather good.

I can’t talk value as i have far too many expensive headphones and everyone has different tastes. I would gladly argue that £300 is ok for something that brings enjoyment and is used regularly.
Seems that she wants decent sound as well as premium materials and feel. Hence i would also try b&w px in the light gold finish. Soundwise they are spot on, also very comfy and very much a quality product.

Sennheiser PXC550. Had them for 2 years replacing BOSE QC35 which couldn't tolerate noise cancellation on buses causing bad echo and banging. The PXC's have a switch. 2 levels or off, problem solved. Great battery and awesome sound.
Anyway they developed a bluetooth fault recently and although a replacement pair just outside of warranty cost £114, I think for just over 2.5 years of use they have been great vfm.

£250 + is about the right price point for quality sound in headphones so I wouldn't worry about the cost too much. I have a set of B&W P5's which I paid £249 for and they sound superb. I think they are cheaper now. The only comment I'd make is I tried the B&O H6's and they were very disappointing. Clean sound but no bass and they lacked punch/dynamics. I haven't heard the H8's but imagine it will be more of the same. The B&W P7's sound even nicer than mine and around the same price point. It may be worth her trying out both before deciding.

I would second this. Tried a pair in the airport a few weeks ago and was blown away by the quality. I'd been after a set of Bose QC35 II's for a while but these have made me rethink my decision.I was treated to a pair of these for xmas.
