So i decided to watch one of my favourite films last night in Tron Legacy(love the sound track and visuals), i've seen it before a number of times but this time was first time since recent changes and the music was barely audible and left me very disappointed.

I tried a netflix episode of Start Trek Discovery with title credits and also Terminatior 2 UHD Blu Ray, and both of these the music element was as expected so i need to try some other titles on Blu Ray but i am very confused as Tron music is quite in your face and part of the film.

I had a play with the audio settings and doesn't seem to have made any different, I am not sure if it is down to the way it was encoded or not. Anyone any ideas or had issues with this film at all?

I have a Denon AVR w2200-x receiver, 2 kef Q series bookshelf speakers for left/right, q acoustics 3090ci centre speaker and a BK electronics subwoofer for the setup

Was it a bluray? Some Blu's, "the Dark Night" I specifically remember, don't automatically go into Dolby TrueHD and you've got to go into the audio menu and change it each time you put it on, which is a pain, it again from memory seemed to be Dolby TrueHD and not DTS HD which 90% of blus came in, so I'd always forget untill a specific moment where the sound was a bit flat, then you'd realise, curse, and change the audio.

It is a blu ray yes, i did select the proper audio when i tested for T2 so i may check it again as it may not have selected the right audio format as you say

It’s odd that as I have tron legacy on Blu Ray and it used to clip on the rear channels on my old Cambridge audio Avr. But only on that movie, regardless of the player. I have a marantz now and it’s fine. It must have some weird encoding on it.
