Virgin Media TV Go App on Android TV

Hi

Does anyone know if the Virgin Media TV Go app will work on a TV running an Android operating system? I'm looking at buying a new TV and potentially moving my Virgin V6 box into another room (but would have to get a VM engineer out to do so).

So i'm thinking that rather than doing that, one of the TVs I am looking at buying is a Sony running an Android OS, and downloading the app onto the TV and then effectively I have Virgin TV in two rooms. I know that i can't do this with an Android box as the app recognises the HDMI connection and doesn't work, but i don't know if the same applies to running it on the actual TV itself.
