Hi, wondering if anyone can help with a problem Im having with my Amazon FIre Stick for my TV.

A few days ago I was having internet problems (not sure what the cause but maybe due to work in the area which disconnected it for a short period). I have a Fire Stick plugged into the back of my TV and I've used for it for a,few years now without any fault, but after my internet came back on the stick won't work, or rather it won't connect. All that shows on screen is three grey circles at the bottom right corner of the screen that "pulse" (not sure if that's the correct term). I've tried the remote batteries and they are fine. No display screen or main menu appears just blank screen. I've unplugged the device from the HDMI socket at the rear and swapped it around to another HDMI port to see if that's causing it, but nothing happens.

Would appreciate any help on this matter.

what you haven't said is wether you unplugged it from the power socket for a few mins then reconnected it to allow it to reboot from scratch.

^^^^ This. Had a similar event a couple of weeks ago. BB dropped out (quite a frequent occurrence unfortunately). Normally the Fire stick just reconnects but on this occasion just had a blank screen.

Unplugged the PSU and it went in to a full re-boot. The only issue was my wife couldn't remember her log in password laugh.

No I haven't yet unplugged it from the mains, but will give it a try. I suspect if I did that and it rebooted after a few minutes then I would have to start all over again, which will be a pain.

i've unplugged mine from one tv and used it in another without having to re-enter the wifi details.....but it is a bit of a faff if you have to!

Older models 'burn out' the Wifi chip over time. This happened to one of our Firesticks. The only cure was to buy a new one.

Does it show up in the Amazon app? I took a look at the Alexa app and I see my fire TVs.

I'm not sure if it shows up in the Amazon apps or not. All that appears in screen are four menu options: Apps, Sleep, Mirroring, Settings. When I click on any of them the screen goes grey and nothing else appears. Often 3 grey dots appear on the bottom right hand side.
