sony WF1000X Bluetooth Noise-Cancelling Headphones

Anyone have these and what's your opinion ? Ordered a pair yesterday. Decent price £100 but was a bit of a snap purchase so didn't do any research.
Looking now they have less than stellar reviews.
Battery life of only 3 hours and extremely poor latency so no video isnt that much of a problem as they will be mainly used for music but the reported dropouts would be.

I think the general feeling is that they haven't quite cracked anc with in ear's yet, I have the big over ear's and they are fantastic. Noise cancelling excellent and also a genuinely good set of headphones.
If you're just looking for a set of good quality iem's then I've just bought the original B&O E8's, pricey but worth it in my opinion.

I have at least 250 hours on my WF-100X's. They sound great, I like them a lot, but they're not perfect. I paid less than you did and that was a year a go.I have just bought a pair of Creative Outlier Airs which I think will be a big step forward. They are also great value. Mine won't be here until next week so won't be able to compare until then.
edit: I rarely use mine with noise cancelling active and the connection rarely drops out. They're a bit hit and miss in that regard.

Well, I think you could get them cheaper, and honestly the game has moved on. I think I paid about £85 for mine a year a go and that felt like a good deal. I'd want to be paying much less than the Creatives now, which are £75.I have used them a lot though.

I received a set for Christmas in 2017. Sonically they great, although not as loud at their highest setting than a wired pair. But base, clarity etc are all very good. Battery life with noise-cancelling enabled is around 1 hour, and the case hold probably an additional 2 hours so you can charge them up, but 1 hour followed by another hour charging is pretty poor (means you usually have to carry another set if you're on a long journey, kind of defeats the point!). You can stretch out the initial charge by switching off N/C.
My main gripe is the buds are prone to falling out of their connecting points when they are in the case - i.e. if the charge case is in your pocket or bag and being thrown around, the buds will come off the points and they won't charge. Also, 1.5 years in and I'm finding the case isn't holding as much charge as it did brand new.
I don't experience much drop out, maybe on the right ear bud every now and again but it usually picks up again within a few seconds. I have noticed around 1 sec latency on video though, but I rarely use them for that purpose.
TBH I wouldn't recommend them at full retail, but if you got them at a decent price then for wireless buds, they are pretty good, but limiting. TBH I've found myself using my wired paid more and more in the last few months.

Great thanks for that. Delivery is today and i've asked the Mrs to refuse so back to Amazon. I did have a pair of Bose Soundsport that sounded superb but developed a prob a few days after purchase where they would discharge overnight.
Looked online and lots having same prob so swapped them for a pair of wired Soundsport but the sound was nowhere near as good. Swapped the ear pieces which helped a bit.

Mine have never had a battery life as low as an hour. I've used them with noise cancelling on flights and in hostels and got quite a bit more than that.
Mine also don't appear to disconnect in the case and they're always in the bag.
I do think my battery case life has dropped off though, which isn't great.
I would seriously check out the Creatives, they are getting excellent reviews - as in - these are the ones to beat reviews.

I've had mine for about a year. I think the sound quality is decent but the battery life and Bluetooth range are much less than advertised. I also can't hear any difference when the noise cancellation is activated. They do feel like a first generation product but perfectly acceptable for day to day use.

Hi David ! I've gone for a pair of Bose Soundsport Wireless. Not noise cancelling but the sound insulation isnt bad. One thing I will say though is that they sound superb for in ear. I have a pair of Sony WH1000-XM2's for my main listening at home and they arnt a million miles away in sound quality.Creative airs don’t seem to be noise cancelling?

Currently I think so. The constituent parts for what you want exist but I don't think any one has combined them yet, so yes, you would need some with a cable or neck band.
I used over ears for flights, I assume you do too at the moment.
