Hanging chairs in cinema rooms???
Discussion
I fancy making our cinema a little more relaxing for when I’m listening to music and have found these pods:-

The material is very light as they only weigh 5kg. My thoughts are to put a number of fixings into the ceiling so they can be hung in different places to change the look of the room but also to add more when when we have more people watching a film.
Any thoughts on how this set up may affect the surround sound (it’s a pretty hefty system so the volume levels won’t be an issue but I’m more concerned with some of the detail being filtered out/ disrupted.
Has anyone done this?

That noose looks handy if it is a particularly depressing film.
In reality, part of watching a film in a cinema room is being with the other viewers, so perhaps being 'isolated' in such a thing wouldn't be ideal. As to the effect on the sound, it won't improve it but perhaps nobody will notice.

Not going to work when hung in front of a projector, assuming you have a projector that is ...
You will affect the acoustics to your listening point due to the material ... whether you're bothered about a small change is entirely up to you.
Just not sure why you've want to add something like this to a cinema room!

Part of the fun of a decent sound system for me is feeling the impact from a decent subwoofer.
For a film I think this would isolate the listener too much.
In a music listening room with a bit of chillout on, on the other hand is another matter.
Seems like a good idea to have them on hooks so they can be moved out of the way when you want to watch a film.

Not having to watch a film surrounded by other people? Bliss. I could sit on my phone and stick some headphones in whilst other people watch whatever they want without being told off for being anti-social.In reality, part of watching a film in a cinema room is being with the other viewers, so perhaps being 'isolated' in such a thing wouldn't be ideal. Where do I sign up?
