Cheapest way to get DAB on Sonos?

I’d like to find the cheapest and easiest way to play a DAB station through Sonos, I expect that I could do so with one if the new Alexa integrated ones but is there another way?

Tunein is included anyway. So BBC stuff.

Then I use Prime which has most of the things I like, paired with a Dot, it works really well now they have enabled the prefered speaker option.

The rest is on a NAS drive.

The station I want comes up as ‘not encoded in a way that can be played’ on tunein, should have said I’ve tried that.

My Sonos in in storage right now BUT I just used to get it directly via the Spotify app.

Alternatively can't you just get it on your phone and stream from there to Sonos?

there's lots of radio streaming services for sonos which are free, once confirmed it's not on any of those i'd think about getting a dab radio with a line out, then a sonos connect/connect amp and then use the line in.

i realise the above will cost £400 if you don't already have a sonos unit with a line in

Maybe I’m just inept but I can’t see any Dab stations available in Spotify or any way to just stream phone content on Sonos? If that was possible of course it would be very easy.

Unless I'm missing something are not all the streamed radio stations digital?

We have 6 Echo Dots and 7 Sonos 1's around the house. I have enabled the relevant skills on Alexa so that I can ask her/them to play for example KISSTORY and off she goes either through the Echo Dot or the related Sonos speaker if chosen.

The Echo Dot's are often on deal, having recently been £22 each over the Prime Days, so worth waiting for the next reduction. I have never paid full price and recently picked up 2 for £50 on Amazon.

Hey, i watched smokey and the bandit and liked eastbound and down

if it has an orange logo i can find it (via sonos) on:

- tunein
- myTuner
- radio.net

have you updated the software on sonos to the latest version?

have you tried it from another service?

I’ll do so when I get home as I’m in court at present and don’t think it will go down too well if I get it to work!

Great, thanks for the help i just needed to add the extra radio services as per the screenshot and now I’m fine.
Tunein only really has US stations snd that was my limitation.
