I'm looking for a new 55 inch TV for our living room, want to spend ideally no more than £800.
No gaming use, just normal sky/now TV etc.
Hisense look very good value to me and seem to have decent reviews, so may look at these.
Would be great to hear from some happy owners.

We picked up a Costco Hisense 43” special earlier this year (not main tv...obviously that is significantly bigger wink.
I think it is great value: nice picture, good sound, good connectivity, easy menus, Freeview works well.

I don't have one but I did look at them before buying a new tv last year. They seemed very impressive for the price and I pretty much only found positive reviews. Didn't buy one in the end, but only because I found a really good deal on a Samsung.

Have a look at Richer Sounds, there is a large selection within your budget.

About the only thing you could level at them is that they use their own smart TV platform, as opposed to something like Android. As a result the choice of apps available isn't as vast as some others.

However, that's easily sorted with a £30 Fire TV or similar, and tbh that's my preferred route anyway.

I'd pay a hundred more and get a 55" OLED if spending that much, otherwise you can get a non OLED 55" for under £400.
