Recommend me an AV amp
Discussion
Please
11.2
4K hdr10 plus
Preferably 2 outputs so I can add a projector later
2 zones soon can send audio to the garden
Not sure what else I need/want.
Main sources are sky q, plex on a media server that casts to a shield or fire hd.
It’s going to sit in the loft out of the way.
Any recommendations ?

Obviously anything with 11 separate amps fully integrated is going to be compromised or expensive. A few do Class B on front 3 channels and Class D on the surround channels - nothing wrong with that as such as long as you know what you are getting.
For fully integrated amps look at Anthem top end, Arcam mid and Denon low. Anthem has ARC and Arcam has Dirac for room equalisation, which is a cut above Audyssey or anything else at the lower end.
Alternatively you can drop down to an amp that has fewer channels and use a secondary multi channel power amp, This can work well if the amps are tonally balanced and you can get a better result than fully integrated for less money. Some stunning multichannel power amps come up on ebay from time to time for relative buttons.

Well, that's spoilt my parlour trick!
Hard to go wrong with a Denon if you're at sensible money.
Though it's a bit less fun than when someone wants to spaff cash up the walls.
So you reckon I should just buy it before I change my mind ? Anything alternative bang for buck?Hard to go wrong with a Denon if you're at sensible money.

I replaced an old STRDB930 (gave up the ghost after about 12yrs service) with a Denon 2300. Good replacement unit. Was giving me a bit of hassle with a new Sony TV I bought recently and so was on the verge of replacing it with another Sony (STRDN1080) but Denon support came up with the goods and sorted the issues I was having between the two devices, so expense avoided.
