All in one media storage and player

Years ago, the answer to this was always the WDTv Live hub - in fact it's what my partner is using at the moment, however she is finding the interface a little unintuitive and it's a little slow.

Is there an all in one storage (>1Tb) with a good interface that will connect via HDMI and play multiple formats? The ability to automatically scrape info and thumbnails is essential.

I did suggest a Plex solution using a NAS and Roku but she wants as little mess as possible.

They are just about to release an even faster refreshed version too

You'll need to add an external hard drive to the Shield though if you want an "all-in-one" type solution.

There is a new version coming but whether we'll see it this side of Christmas is anyone's guess and the current version is still one of the most powerful Android TV boxes out there.
