Connection Quandary
Discussion
I'm not totally daft, but can't quite work out if how I would like my little room setup is possible
I'll try and explain...
This is what i need connecting up (and futureproof for 4K TV for atmos soundtracks)
Panasonic Plasma - 2 x HDMI inputs, 1 x HDMI ARC) // Optical and Coaxial out
Sky Q - HDMI out
Nintendo Switch - HDMI out
Dolby Atmos Soundbar - 3 x HDMI inputs, 1 x HDMI ARC
Network streamer/amp combo for music ( eg Naim UnitiStar) - HDMI input, Optical, Coaxial, analogue in.
Stereo speaker pair
What I would like is for Streamed music, Nintendo Switch, day-day Sky Q stereo audio soundtrack to play through the stereo speaker pair driven by the 2 channel amp
And then use the Soundbar for Dolby 5.1 / 7.2.1 SKY Q and Netflix TV shows & Films
What are the chances?
I don't have the space for the full speaker set-up as the sofa is right up against the back wall, so rear surrounds would be incorrectly positioned and wasted anyway
I also dont have the space or the wish for a large surround amp/processor etc and also music is the priority, so the budget for amplification will be well and truly spent on the 2 channel gear.
