Does anyone have any experience with the E9 LG OLED screen, and the way that it produces sound through it's built in speaker?

At the moment I use a Sony amp, powering two floor standing speakers, a separate sub and a centre speaker (these are all somewhat entry level).
It sounds ok, and has done so for many years, but have been tempted to remove all of this and scale down to a sound bar or cube size speakers, if it sounds the same or better.

The E9 is about £500 more than the C9, but if the sound produced isn't anything like what I have now, then i'd rather just swap out the screen and work on the speaker configuration at another time.

I'm also ignoring that the E9 has a different stand to the C9.

I've got the E7 and the sound is very good for what it is i.e. a soundbar attached to the screen.

There may be better options with a separate soundbar and a screen but as an all in one I can't fault it.

My gut feeling is something like a Samsung HW-Q70R soundbar and sub, available for around 475, would probably sound better but I'd want to audition both to confirm.

Do you just want better sound for the TV or are you also planning on using the speakers for music at all?

Yes, better sound for the TV, but I would like to use the speakers to play music too.
Nothing like FLAC, but I tend to have some ambient background music playing, through YouTube whilst pottering about (with my current setup).

I have the same and as a whole it’s pretty good.

But I find with Sky Movies that I’m having to crank the volume up really high as the speech is really quiet but the background noise can be quite high.

I was going to get a c9, but using the following offers combined it needed up cheaper net for an e9

2499
-400 Black Friday discount
-720 sky credit (the e9 gets sky q multi room free for 18. Even for existing customers)
-40 cash back via Quidco

Net cost to me = 1339 as already paying for sky so that bill drops
