I'm sure that this was £7k a few months ago when I saw it on display.
The step up in cost from the 65C9 to this one was quite eye-watering considering that the image quality and OS is supposed to be exactly the same between the models.
The look of this one is quite stunning though and the sound is pretty good as well. The only thing that would put me off is that if you have a separate home cinema system, you'd still need to leave the soundbar in place even though you are not using it. I don't think it is designed for that market segment though.

It will be interesting to see if it comes down any more. The 65C9 came down from £2,500 to £2,200 before Black Friday when it was reduced to £2,000 and then £1,900. In the end it went to £1,850 after Christmas but has now snapped back up to £2,500. I guess it depends on how much inventory they have got left, but I can't imagine they'll want too many of these expensive models hanging around when the new X series comes out.

The 65" C9 came down to £1649 on Black Friday! This coupled with the free SKY Q offer for 18 months (worth at least £40 a month) - it saved me £61.50 per month, so my net spend on the TV was about £550... bargain of the decade so far I guess it depends on how much inventory they have got left, but I can't imagine they'll want too many of these expensive models hanging around when the new X series comes out.

Would highly recommend the C9 - awesome piece of kit.I had planned on getting the 77" version but could not justify almost 3 times the price. I ended up getting the 65" C9, plus an Optoma UHD52ALV 4k projector, motorised projector lift to hide it in the ceiling and 106" screen for less than the 77" TV would have cost...

I've got a similar set up with a 65C9 and a Benq W2700 projector and screen. Everything about the picture quality is better on the OLED, but the impact of the size for films and sport means that the projector gets used a lot more!

Hahahah! I think that may happen at ours. We don't tend to watch significant amounts of TV, so when we have family film nights the projector will definitely be used. Saying that I'm going to watch Season 8 of Game of Thrones on the C9 so that I can actually see what happens in the Ice King battle - the picture when Sky streamed it was absolutely woeful.I've got a similar set up with a 65C9 and a Benq W2700 projector and screen.
