Yes you need to pay BT an extra £6 per month to watch on a second box

Or record on main box and watch the recording on mini.

If you record it on the main box, can you start to watch the recording on a mini within a minute or so, so you're just behind the live action?

Tried it and you can’t watch it while the program you are recording is still on. So in the case of a football match you are talking a couple of hours later.

That's a shame. You can with a "normal" programme.

Just checked and you can’t watch BT Sport at all on second box (even recordings) unless you pay the extra.

Related question. I have BT Sport on my phone because it's free with EE. I have been paying £33 or so every month for BT Sport on my Sky Q.

I'm paying for nothing aren't I? I could stream it through my Playstation couldn't I? Using my EE subscription?

If it's free on EE you can only watch it for free on a device with EE sim card. You can pay EE the extra to cast it I believe.

It's an extra £5 per month, but it only casts using the standard player and not the enhanced. The picture quality is ok, but the motion of the ball is a bit blurry when watching football. Not sure if that's down to the internet not being the best.

I did try to cast my phone screen directly to the TV without using the BT sport app to cast. On prerecorded programmes the picture quality was fine, however live football was poor. Constant stuttering.
